Pavel Sergeyev – Legal Practice Director
Admitted as a lawyer in 2011, and Pavel has been practicing for 10 years with extensive experience in all aspects of property law, from commercial and residential conveyancing to business and franchise selling as well as other complex property transactions.
In his spare time, Pavel enjoys spending time with his family, playing the violin, refining his skills as a bee keeper, and running through the undulating landscape of the beautiful Mount Coot-Tha and surrounds.
Andrew has more than 10 years experience within commercial finance specialising in private and institutional funding of major projects within the Domestic and international markets working across some of Australia’s largest financial institutions and more recently heading the North Capital team. His experience supports BlueKey Lawyers with its business strategy and commercial law management.
Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and son and in his spare time builds and rides motorcycles.
Christina Ripia – Practice Manager
Katie Crane – Administration
Katie has 15 years experience within the legal industry and has a passion for Property Law. She has earnt the reputation in the office as being the fastest administrator in the business! Katie looks after all of your initial correspondence when coming to B+K for your conveyancing and is always here for a chat if you need help with any documentation.
Katie is a busy mum to a toddler and in her spare time she enjoys cooking, going to the beach and spending time with her family.
Joyce Renaud – Solicitor
Starting a Law career in compliance banking, Joyce graduated from CQ university before moving to Brisbane in 2020. Joyce’s background is in law & finance and since joining the team at BlueKey she has developed a passion for property law. Joyce plans to expand her knowledge base and area of practice to include family law in the future. In her spare time, you will find her reading a good book, at the gym, or sharing a nice glass of wine with friends. Joyce is passionate about her clients and ensuring the experience of buying or selling property is as stress-free as possible.
Shasta Ripia – Director – Solicitor
Shasta has over 10 years experience in the legal industry, commencing her career in Commercial Litigation she found her real passion in Property and Commercial Law. Graduating from The University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Laws Shasta decided to start B+K Lawyers as she saw a gap in the market for a client focused firm that put service at the forefront. A firm that specialised in transactive law that was affordable and approachable to all.
From this idea, B+K Lawyers was established in 2015 and has been assisting clients with their legal transactions ever since, quickly becoming a market leader in the property and commercial space.
In her spare time Shasta enjoys spending time with her Husband and Son, baking, brunching and shopping. She has a passion for interior design and all things cats.
Isabella Fraser – Assistant Director (Solicitor)
Starting her career in Logistics, Isabella then graduated from Griffith University with a dual degree in Laws and Business. She began her legal career in conveyancing in NSW before exploring some of the banking & finance industry for a top-tier firm in QLD. Since joining the team at B+K Lawyers as an Assistant Director Isabella is immersed in Property and Commercial matters, as well as assisting the Wills & Estates Planning practice. Exploring multiple areas of law is important for Isabella who loves to gain knowledge across intersecting fields to better assist her clients in different types of legal transactions.
In her spare time, you can usually find her at her Soccer (Football) Club as a Goalkeeper in the Veto Women’s City League, or reading books. She loves travelling and reading fiction as well as the occasional camping trip with friends.
Lily-May Johnston– Associate Paralegal
Lily started her career in customer service where she gained 5 plus years of experience prior to entering the legal industry, Lily makes sure our clients are well looked after and understands the importance of a great client experience. Lily completed her Diploma of Legal Services in 2017 on the Gold Coast before starting her legal career in debt recovery, Lily made the move to Property and Commercial and is also a JP.
In her spare time, Lily enjoys music, food, cats and has a passion for social justice.
Ryan Stimson – Solicitor
Ryan is a Solicitor with B+K Lawyers and was recognised as a top achiever in Legal Studies during his final year of High School and as such, he was offered early entry into Griffith Law School on the Gold Coast, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business (International Management).
Ryan spent time working within an ASX100 listed company for five years and gained exposure in their international operations, working in their European head office in London from 2017 to 2019.
Since then, Ryan was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and gained further legal experience working in a generalist firm on the Gold Coast.
Ryan practices primarily in Property, Commercial law and Wills and Estates.
Ryan brings to the team a refreshing client centric approach and his experience in dealing with a wide variety of property and commercial transactions.
On the weekend you can find Ryan at the beach, on the tennis court or brunching around Brisbane.
Ruth Turnbull – Client Satisfaction Manager & People
Ruth is a Senior management professional, with a strong career leading complex and challenging customer driven environments. For many years Ruth worked in the Airline industry, leading Contact Centres and Retail teams. Over her career Ruth has lead large teams going on to win awards in the customer service space year after year. Within B + K Ruth heads up our Human Resources division along with Client Satisfaction. Fun fact about Ruth – She took up Olympic Weight Lifting, competing in the Masters category, and has won 6 Gold medals, including setting a world record in 2017 at the World Cup Masters held in the Gold Coast.
In her spare time Ruth enjoys going to the gym, going for walks with her grandson and loves a good restaurant.
